WePower’s platform is a one-stop-shop solution that provides your company with tools to help you understand your electricity consumption patterns, find a best fit renewable electricity producer, contract with them digitally and then monitor generators as they are built and start generating electricity.

Direct transactions with renewable electricity producers are enabled through a financial mechanism called a power purchase agreement or PPA. This solution allows you to hedge electricity prices so you can ensure a stable cost base on your company’s balance sheet.

WePower’s platform is a one-stop-shop solution that provides your company with tools to help you understand your electricity consumption patterns, find a best fit renewable electricity producer, contract with them digitally and then monitor generators as they are built and start generating electricity.

Direct transactions with renewable electricity producers are enabled through a financial mechanism called a power purchase agreement or PPA. This solution sits outside your retailer contract as a proxy instrument, allowing you to hedge electricity prices so you can ensure a stable cost base on your company’s balance sheet.

Our platform-based solution allows any company, from small to enterprise size, to access financial hedging. Our solution can work in parallel with your company’s retail contract or in combination with it. You can start leveraging the benefits of direct renewable energy contracting without cancelling your current retailer contracts.

Big energy users such as foundries and aluminium smelters already negotiate such contracts with power stations, but they are often complex and time-consuming. Contracts on a blockchain could be offered off the shelf, allowing smaller companies—and perhaps, one day, individuals—to use them too. Such contracts would be as easily tradeable as any other crypto-asset, creating a secondary market in power agreements.

Adomas is responsible for making sense of data by cleaning and munging it, as well as gathering insights, building prediction models and presenting findings. He has spent time as a trader in the Nord Pool electricity market and working in data solutions development.

Andrius is responsible for business development and operations in the Iberian market. As the CCO, Andrius is overseeing for WePower's expansion in the Spain and is also managing the relationship between WePower and relevant stakeholders, such as energy consumers, renewable energy developers and financial institutions. Before joining WePower, Andrius served as the Head of Innovation at the vertically integrated Baltics energy company Lietuvos Energija and has also worked as a consultant in the UK, Lithuania, South Korea and Middle East.
